Sharon and her family are originally from Wigan, Lancashire, but have lived on the Costa Blanca for almost 30 years and knew Calpe when it was nothing more than a small, Spanish fishing village with beautiful beaches and little else.
Now, amongst the luxury hotels and apartments, beach bars and restaurants, Sharon has opened her own Bar Malibu just off Playa de las Fossa beach. So after a couple of hours sunbathing on the 900 metres of golden sands and swimming in the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean why not pop over for a long, cool drink to wash down your lunch.
Or maybe, if you are an early bird, you can call in for a Full English Breakfast before hitting the sand. With its children`s play areas and Blue Flag, La Fossa Beach is a real hit with the kids and they are always welcome at Bar Malibu.
With many years of experience, from running her own pubs and restaurants back in the UK, Sharon has brought true Northern Hospitality to Bar Malibu, Calpe serving good, English dishes cooked with fresh produce to be enjoyed in the light and brightly decorated bar or outside on the terrace.
Because of her years in Spain Sharon doesn’t forget the Spanish cuisine and has her own "Tapas Speciality Nights" when she serves typical local dishes such as spicy sausage or meatballs, cheese tortilla, garlic prawns and, of course Spanish Omelette.
Bar Malibu is also available for club lunches, meetings and party bookings.
We offer a full take-away service and buffets are available from € 7.50 including celebration cake & cava.
